Eric Gilbertsen leads the Client Service team at RepEquity and aims to please every client, but not by always saying “yes”. His curiosity and passion for technology and human behavior is well-documented, and he drives his team to dig for creative solutions that aren’t always obvious. He believes those solutions come from understanding the brand, audience, goals and landscape better than anyone.
As a baby, Eric only looked up at the TV during commercial breaks. As a teen, he was drawn to agency life by his aunt, a respected agency executive and professor. So, when he graduated from Miami University with a B.S. in Marketing, he waited all of eight days to begin his career at Young & Rubicam. After two years and two promotions for his work with Ford Motor Company, he was accepted into the Protégé Mentorship Program for Aspiring Leaders.
In 2003, he joined Lowe Worldwide (now MullenLowe) to manage GMC brand advertising. There, he was nominated for the YoungStars Program to connect and develop talented leaders around the globe.
Life brought Eric to Washington DC in 2005, where he joined Brunner, Pittsburgh’s most awarded digital agency, and led client programs with GlaxoSmithKline, the American Bankers Association, World Bank, NBWA and more. He received the FAB Award for outstanding performance in 2007.
Eric’s career expanded in 2009 when he joined RepEquity as VP, Account Director. By providing solid digital strategies and inspired service, he has retained and grown many advocacy and brand marketing clients, while attracting several new and well-known clients. His clients have included eBay, PayPal, StubHub, UNICEF, The Estée Lauder Companies, SIRIUS|XM, Amazon, CSRA, SourceAmerica, Bayer and many top trade associations.
His successes propelled him into his dream job – the role he has now.
